Cognitive psychology is the study of thought processes such as memory. People use different techniques to remember things but putting them to well-known songs can help some people remember them.

One of my math teachers in middle school taught us the quadratic formula using a song that most of us already knew: "Pop Goes the Weasel" and I still use it to remember the formula even though I learned it 6 years ago.
