CHAPTER 13

Racism is prejudice against people because of their race. While people are much more against racism now, there is still a lot of it present, even in the United States. People deny it, but there is a high frequency of it, despite the common idea that it is wrong.
Kermit, being a different color than the rest of the Muppets, gets hurt because of the comment of one of the other Muppets. Many children's shows touch on topics like this and teach lessons like how prejudice is wrong. While it is presented in a less serious way, like how he is similar to leaves and things that people don't normally pay attention to, it shows how racism hurts because of how they are seen as less important. It makes people wish they were different than how they are, which would hurt, no matter who you are.
